Moscow — Minsk by private jet: about 620 km, roughly 1 hour 06 minutes in the air. Departure from Vnukovo (about 30 km southwest of the city centre, where Moscow’s main business-aviation terminal is), Ostafyevo (a small dedicated business-aviation field about 30 km south) or Sheremetyevo (about 30 km northwest), arrival at Minsk National, the airport of the Belarusian capital. We send a quote with named aircraft and a price within the hour, and we answer around the clock.
About this route
The shortest of our western routes: an hour and a little from take-off to the approach. Hence the character of the trips — most often a one-day business run. Depart Moscow in the morning, negotiations or a site visit during the day, home in the evening. With that pattern the main question is not the type of aircraft but whether it stays and waits for you on the ground. Waiting through the day almost always works out more sensibly than two separate flights with empty positioning legs.
An hour’s flying is covered by an aircraft of any class, so the choice follows passenger numbers and whether you need to work in the air. A light jet handles four people completely. A midsize is taken when the cabin has to let you stand up straight, spread out papers and talk without raising your voice. The flight is international: documents are needed for all passengers, the exact set is confirmed when we quote against each passenger’s citizenship, and we build time for ground formalities at both ends into the plan.
A question of its own is which Moscow airport to leave from. We have three, and the choice here is not about prestige but about the drive: the difference in journey time across Moscow easily swallows whatever you gained in the air. We always ask where you are setting out from and at what hour, and suggest the airport that is the calmer drive at that time of day. If one in particular suits you better, just say so and we will select an aircraft there.
- Distance: about 620 km great-circle
- Time in the air: about 1 hour 06 minutes
- Departure: Vnukovo (~30 km southwest of the centre), Ostafyevo (~30 km south), Sheremetyevo (~30 km northwest)
- Arrival: Minsk (National)
- Aircraft class: a light jet is enough; midsize is more comfortable for six, or if you work in flight
Which aircraft suit this route
On a leg like this the choice is wide — almost any of our partner operators’ aircraft fits. Our usual suggestions:
- HondaJet HA-420 — the most economical option for two or three people on a day trip
- Embraer Phenom 300 — a light jet with a decent hold, good for a business party
- Cessna Citation XLS — midsize, a stand-up cabin — you can work in the air
- Piaggio P.180 Avanti — a quiet cabin and a low hourly cost on a short leg
Other types are in the aircraft catalogue.
What drives the price
An hour in the air is a short flight, and everything that happens on the ground weighs more than usual in the quote: airport handling at both ends, parking, crew duty. So two flights of identical distance can cost differently simply because of how the day is arranged.
The second factor is what the aircraft does between the legs. There are exactly two options: wait for you in Minsk, or return to Moscow empty and come back for you again. For a one-day trip the first is almost always cheaper; for a trip with an overnight stay we cost both and show the difference in figures.
We publish no starting figure for this route: it depends on the particular aircraft, the date and the time of day more than on the route itself. Send your dates and we will send a quote with aircraft.
One more point people rarely think about in advance: a late return departure can require the crew to stay overnight, and then the «there and back in a day» arrangement stops being the cheapest one. We warn you about that before you approve the plan, not after.
The return leg
The flight the other way is on the Minsk — Moscow page. If both dates are known at once, send them in a single enquiry: linked legs are costed differently from two independent orders, and usually in your favour.
How to book
Send the route, the date and the number of passengers — a quote with aircraft will come back within the hour. As the trip is international, add the passengers’ citizenship: it affects the list of documents and the time needed for formalities.
We answer around the clock, weekends included.
