Private Jet Moscow — Milan

Moscow — Milan by private jet: about 2,275 km, estimated time in the air roughly 3 hours 10 minutes. Departure from Vnukovo (about 30 km southwest of the city centre, where Moscow’s main business-aviation terminal is), Ostafyevo (a small dedicated business-aviation field about 30 km south) or Sheremetyevo (about 30 km northwest), arrival at Milan — either Linate, the city airport a short drive from the centre, or Malpensa, the larger field to the northwest. The routing, the permits and, if they turn out to be needed, any intermediate stops are planned against your specific date and a specific aircraft. We send a quote within the hour and answer around the clock.

About this route

Milan is a business destination rather than a holiday one. People fly in for negotiations and for factory visits, for trade fairs and shows, to showrooms and suppliers; and from here the road starts towards the lakes and the Alpine resorts, so part of the traffic is one working day plus two free ones. The trips themselves are short: most often a morning departure and a return a day or two later, not a week on the ground.

Now the important part, before you start building plans around a date. We do not publish schedules and we do not promise a flight in advance. The routing, the overflight and landing permits, the ground handling and — if they are needed — intermediate stops are assembled for a particular day, a particular aircraft and a particular passenger list. If your dates do not come together, we will say so plainly and the same day, not after you have cancelled everything else. That answer happens too, and it is more honest given straight away.

The distance and time below are a great-circle calculation at normal cruise speed — a model, not a line from a timetable. The actual plan follows the airways that get approved, so the time in the air can differ from the estimate; you will see the exact figure in the offer. The time difference from Moscow is one to two hours depending on the season, so a morning departure gives you almost a full working day on the ground.

  • Distance: about 2,275 km great-circle
  • Time in the air: about 3 hours 10 minutes, estimated
  • Departure: Vnukovo (~30 km southwest of the centre), Ostafyevo (~30 km south), Sheremetyevo (~30 km northwest)
  • Arrival: Milan (Linate or Malpensa)
  • Aircraft class: midsize and super-midsize; with a lot of baggage or a full load, super-midsize

Which aircraft suit this route

Three hours and change is already the range where the difference between classes is felt: in a midsize cabin you get through it perfectly well, in a super-midsize you can work at a table and talk without raising your voice. We usually show these:

Other types are in the aircraft catalogue.

What drives the price

First and foremost, the aircraft itself: class, fuel burn and where it is on your date. An aircraft already standing in Europe or returning in your direction, and one that has to be positioned out of Moscow, give completely different figures. Matches like that cannot be predicted in advance — they are only visible on a specific day.

Second, the ground side: handling at the departure and arrival airports, parking, slots. On a short international leg that part shows up in the quote more than you would expect, and it is the part that depends most on whether the aircraft stays or leaves.

Third, lead time. The earlier the dates arrive, the longer the list of aircraft we can assemble and the calmer the route preparation. An enquiry two weeks out and an enquiry a day out are different lists, and the first is almost always the better one.

There are no prices for this route on the site at all. Any «from» figure would mislead here: the quote comes together only after the route has been built for your date. Send your dates and passenger numbers and we will send an offer with named aircraft within the hour.

The return leg

The flight the other way is on its own page, Milan — Moscow: a different departure airport, a different convenient hour and its own preparation. It is better to send both dates at once — a round trip is planned as one job, and that is the shorter path to an answer.

How to book

Send us the route, the date and the number of passengers. Give the volume of baggage and the passengers’ citizenship: the set of documents depends on citizenship and is confirmed when we quote. If you are travelling with children or with an animal, say so straight away — it affects the choice of aircraft.

We answer within the hour, around the clock and at weekends. If the route does not come together on your dates, you will hear that in the very first message.
