Moscow — Bodrum by private jet: 2,165 km, about 3 h 02 min in the air. Departure from Vnukovo (about 30 km southwest of the city centre, where Moscow’s main business-aviation terminal is), Ostafyevo (a small dedicated business-aviation field about 30 km south) or Sheremetyevo (about 30 km northwest), arrival at Milas–Bodrum, the airport serving the Turkish Aegean coast and its marinas. We send a quote with named aircraft and a price within the hour, and we answer around the clock.
About this route
Three hours is the length at which a flight hardly feels like travelling at all: leave in the morning, and the day on the Aegean starts with lunch by the water. That is why Bodrum is flown as short trips — a long weekend, a week on a yacht, friends at a villa.
The time zone is the same as Moscow’s, so there is nothing to adjust to — which sets this destination clearly apart from the far-flung resorts. A child goes to bed at the usual hour on the very first evening, and a business call from holiday does not have to be worked out across a time difference.
Milas airport lies some way outside the town, and the drive to a marina or a hotel takes a further stretch of time on the ground — better built into the plan from the start, especially if you arrive late. The season here is the summer one and it is busy: from early summer through to the mellow weeks of September, slots and ground handling go early.
Three hours is also the length at which aircraft class decides less than the brochures suggest. A midsize jet will get you there; the difference is not in speed but in how much goes with you and how freely adults and children sit. So for Bodrum we ask not only how many passengers there are, but what exactly you are bringing.
One more feature of this route is the parties. People often travel not as one family but as two, or put an aircraft together for a shared trip: one joining for a week, another for the weekend. Those arrangements work fine, but they are best named up front — they affect both the choice of aircraft and whether it stays on the coast.
- Distance: 2,165 km great-circle
- Time in the air: about 3 h 02 min
- Departure: Vnukovo (~30 km southwest of the centre), Ostafyevo (~30 km south), Sheremetyevo (~30 km northwest)
- Arrival: Bodrum (Milas)
- Aircraft class: midsize and super-midsize; at full load with baggage, heavy
Which aircraft suit this route
The midsize class covers the distance, but a family’s summer baggage often tips the choice towards something larger:
- Cessna Citation XLS — a midsize jet, the economical option for a party of up to seven
- Cessna Citation Latitude — a stand-up cabin, comfortable for four to six with luggage
- Embraer Legacy 500 — super-midsize with a roomy hold
- Bombardier Challenger 605 — a heavy jet for a large party or two families
If you are joining a yacht, say so when you enquire: kit bags for a week afloat are bulkier than ordinary suitcases, and here the hold is more often the limiting factor than the number of seats.
Other types are in the aircraft catalogue.
What drives the price
Three things: aircraft type, the hour of departure, and whether the aircraft stays on the coast. At the height of the season morning slots go faster than evening ones, and moving the departure by a couple of hours can noticeably change the quote.
Second in weight is the length of the trip. For a week or more it is almost always more logical to release the aircraft and order the return as a separate flight; for three or four days we cost both and show the difference in figures.
Third is the ground side at the arrival end: at the height of summer, handling and parking on the coast cost differently than out of season, and that too goes into the quote as its own line rather than dissolving into a single number.
We publish no starting figure for this route: it depends on the particular aircraft and date more than on the destination itself. The earlier the dates arrive, the more options we can show. Send your dates and we will send a quote with named aircraft.
The return leg
The way back is on the Bodrum — Moscow page. The return leg has its own logic: the departure is more often fitted around handing back a villa or the end of a week on the water, and the arrival around a working morning in Moscow. Both legs in one enquiry usually cost out better than two separate orders.
How to book
Send the route, the date and the number of passengers — a quote with aircraft will come back within the hour. We answer around the clock, weekends included.
For summer flights it helps to give the children’s ages and the volume of baggage up front, and to mention it if you need a transfer from the airport to a marina. The set of documents depends on the passengers’ citizenship and is confirmed when we quote.
